Alicia Myer's "I wanna thank you" from her 1981 self titled album is a true jem. I recently discovered this song while browsing through the gram. I saw a video of a young man turning up to a sped up version of this jam. Once i found the original, I was hooked. The hook is infectious and so positive. Thanking God for sending her someone she needs into her life, you really can't beat that. Plus you really can feel the joy she has in singing this song. The beat is super funky, if you catch the baseline you'll understand what I'm saying. My favorite part of the song is when she hits those high notes while singing "I don't know how to be". This is an oldie but a goodie. I hope you enjoy and spread the positive vibes.
