Kilo Kish HomeSchool EP Review

Kilo Kish, a New York native recently dropped the HomeSchool EP. She had been previously featured on The Jet Age of Tomorrow's Journey to the 5th Echelon and on a Vince Staples track. She stood out in her past features, so it's nice to finally get full content from her. Kilo has a very girly and super loveable voice. Her delivery is very mellow and her rapping is closer to spoken word than rap as we know it. However, something clicks when you her voice over the spacey beats produced The Internet and The Super 3. The stand out tracks for me are "Navy," "Indigo's July,"and "BusBoy". The breakdowns in "Indigo's July" and "BusBoy" are infectious. They remind me of N.E.R.D. type breakdowns from their album Fly Or Die. Introspective lyrics, unique delivery, and beautiful vocals are all strengths of Kilo Kish. While not a big name at the moment, you will hear much more from her in upcoming months. This EP gets the stamp of approval and this will be in the summer rotation.

6/10
