Jay Z and Jay who? That's what a lot you are thinking right now, and you have a good reason to do so. Jay Electronica has always been a great rapper, but the problem with him is that he rarely delivers music to his fan base. However, both Jays come quite correct on this freestyle. Electronica hits the ground running on his verse and it only rises to to a crescendo by the end. What I love is that his verse is so relevant, and so smart. It makes you wish rappers could be this socially relevant at all times. My favorite line by far is
"Nigga we made it from slaves on a slaveship/ Live from the cotton fields, straight to the spaceship."Jay Z actually sounds like he's trying to rap again and hits us with a very solid verse. Quite possibly a harder verse than anything on Magna Carta Holy Grail. One thing for sure is that is the best track to drop so far thus year by far. I'm excited to see which rappers try to hop on this beat in hopes to on up Jay x Jay. Take a listen to the track below:
